This is my playground, where I explore new techniques, tools and generally have fun.
Mandelbulb
I've always been fascinated by the intersection of art, design and mathematics. In particular, I have become interested in the work of mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot, a pioneer of fractal geometry. The two dimensional Mandelbrot set, discovered in the early 20th century, is named after Mandelbrot who studied and popularised it. The Mandelbulb is a construction of the fractal patterns that constitute the Mandel Set, reimagined in 3d.

The Mandelbulb is an infinitely complex, naturally occurring fractal object.

This was an experiment created using Blender and rendered in Eevee, then moved into After Effects to create the kinetic type and visual effects.
